Junior Sailing Classes Are Almost Full! Waiting List Available!
Dedicated to the Joy of Sailing on Cape Cod's Pleasant Bay Since 1950
Namequoit Sailing Association (NSA) was started in Orleans, MA (Cape Cod) in 1950 by a handful of sailors on and around Pleasant Bay, Little Pleasant Bay and The River, who had an interest in racing small sailboats. Their mission was "to develop an interest in sailing and to promote a knowledge of safety on the water and instill the joy of sailing and to teach sailing and racing skills to both junior and adult sailors". NSA has taught sailing and offered a weekend racing series on Cape Cod for 74 years.
NSA believes every child aged 8 and above – from novice to experienced skipper – should receive instruction that builds progressively on their level of individual skill and experience.
We have two objectives:
To develop strong sailing skills, and to have every student leave each lesson eager to return the next day.
Pre-Registration for the Summer 2025 learn-to-sail program opens January 27!
NSA holds sailboat races on Cape Cod during late June, July & August.
Racing is open to all Family and Associate Members of Namequoit Sailing Association who register as Racing Participants. All boats must be pre-registered to participate.
The Race Instructions along with race courses and the race schedule are downloadable PDF files under Racing.
